Alley Flam is a freelance graphic designer and photographer from Montreal, Quebec. She loves getting to know her various clients and executing creative solutions that help their ventures grow. She has a strong technical understanding of graphic design and communications, along with a keen eye for detail, typography, and photography.
She worked for over a year and a half at Squish Candy – a rapidly expanding candy retailer. In a fast-paced, high-pressure startup environment, she juggled work on a large variety of graphic elements such as store signage, product labels and packaging, and web and social media content. She enjoyed the process of coming up with creative approaches to each project while respecting the guidelines of a well-designed pre-existing brand.
Before that, she worked as an in-house graphic designer for a fast-growing fitness technique company called Essentrics. She worked alongside the marketing team to create e-blasts, posters, advertisements, flyers, training manuals, and other materials for print and web that promoted workout DVDs, a PBS TV show, and a downtown studio. As the company’s main photographer, she put her advanced photography and Photoshop skills to good use.
